Teen suicide. Pretty scary huh? It's horrifying. Now stay with me and just hear me out, because this is important. Statistics show that suicide is the THIRD leading cause of death for teens. It's the SECOND leading cause in colleges.Every day there are approximately 11 youth suicides.
Every 2 HOURS and 11 MINUTES a person under the age of 25 completes suicide. For every completion, there are between 50-200 attempts. Now the question is WHY?! What is driving todays youth to these extremes? Where is God in all this? And that is the problem. Where. Is. God? Do you think if these youth had God in their lives these numbers would decrease? No one takes the time to hear them out. "Oh they're not serious." "They're just complaining again." "Well they put themselves in that situation." We need to be reaching out and showing these kids that someone DOES care. We need to support them, and be there for them and show them they're not alone. What can you do? Think about it.
This movie is so amazing, it needs to be shown all over. To Save A Life is a very inspirational movie that touches on TRUE issues most teens are facing today. Please check it out:
This is a song by Hawk Nelson, it's called Zero and it touches on the issue of suicide:
.:♥:. I am a young woman, finding her way in the world. (Colossians 12-14 The Message)
So, chosen by God for this new life of love,
dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you:
compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.
Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. God Bless you .:♥:.
