So to celebrate madres day I decided to bake up a cake from scratch, with icing also made from scratch. Well apparently I used the wrong sized tin, because it was supposed to be a double layered cake. My dad said when it was done it looked like a beach, great now how can I top that for the day of papas? I also made a wee too much icing so my dad and I were in the kitchen slicing up all sorts of fruits trying to hide the evidence.
