.:♥:.A Day Full of Family.:♥:.

Since today is Sunday, I started the day by going to church, and listened to one powerful message. If you haven't already you should check out Hebrews Chapter 10, as it's quite insightful.

After church I went to a family gathering of my mother's side, and we ate some god traditional Portuguese food, and I must say I'm proud of myself as I tried shrimp again, but still have not acquired a taste for it. I spent the afternoon playing cards with my cousin A. and snuggling with little M. aka my Sunshine♥ who also happened to be quite feverish.

Later when we were back at home some more cousins came over for a bit and me and my cousin Stph. watched Barn Yard. Nothing like spending a day with your family.

Saturday, January 30th

So today was a pretty dry day. I basically spent the entire day in my room. Doing what you may ask? Well pulling everything out of my closet, drawers, desk, out from under my bed and more. I'm going through everything in my room, getting rid of all the clutter, and all my school notes as I am done highschool officially forever! It was pretty cool though, as I was reading through old Birthday/Christmas/Whatever Else cards, or the letters I got from friends, or my favorite, the notes I used to pass around in class :) It's always good to reminisce, but it's also good to purge. It's been a good day.

Today I spent the day babysitting once again, but only little S. today as little J. was at Daycare. Since little S. was still a bit feverish we spent the day cuddling and full of giggles. She makes the cutest faces, my favorite would be this one face were she scrunches up her face and makes snuffling sounds.

When she was having some problems with her second nap it reminded me of a story my pastor told at church one time. There was a grandfather who was visiting with his daughter and his three year old grandson. While walking by the playroom he heard his grandson crying. He went in to investigate to find him in the playpen asking to be let out, so the grandfather picked him up. Then his daughter walked by and said "Dad put him back in the playpen, he's on a 5 minute time out for throwing his toys." So the grandfather put the crying three year old back in the play pen. He sat there for a minute before crawling in and sitting with his Grandson. It's just like Jesus, watching us be punished, but loving us so much He came down and took our punishment for us.

The reason I brought this up was because when I went upstairs in response to a crying little S. for the umpteenth time, I looked down on her little face stained with tears. What did I do? I scooped her up, took her to her mom's room and lay on the bed with her and snuggled for over an hour and a half, watching her play with my face and fingers and hair.It was one amazing moment, and I will always cherish it.

.:♥:.A Day of Play.:♥:.

This is actually my post for yesterday, I will post today's later on this evening.
So this is my lovely cousin little S. I spent quite a few hours with this little one, and her three year old brother J. as I was babysitting them. I spent the day playing princesses with J., snuggling with little S. as she had a bit of a cold and then trying make lunch for all three of us at the same time. They are just so full of love and energy, it makes my heart warm. They truly are one of God's greatest blessings in my life.

After babysitting, I went straight to one of my favourite places to be: Youth Group. Tonight wasn't the usual Bible Study night, it was our 'Olympic Night'. We all competed in some strange, events including : Shooting snotmellows(marshmellows) out of our noses, chugging pop through a sock, Stack'em cups. typing speed, shooting Q-tips through a straw, and much more. My day today was great and I can't wait to see what joy tomorrow brings.
Above is a photo of me and one of the Youth Leaders, He was trying to distract me from winning the Typing Speed Challenge, but I still smoked him :)
